Stroke & Turn Judges- Each assigned team needs designated number of judges for the entire meet.

Volunteer Duties

This meet can not happen with out volunteers and we thank you in advance for helping make this meet successful for your swimmers. Please make sure you have checked in with your Team Volunteer Coordinator when you arrive at the meet. It is very important that once you sign up to volunteer you show up for designated your shift.  Each team will have specific volunteer duties for the Championship Meet, this is in addition to any duties your team has in place for helping your coaches and swimmers.

Below is a sample of what volunteers are needed during the Championship Meet. Team assignments will be added below no later than July 7th.

Clerk of Course- Friday & Saturday Two teams with at least 4 volunteers, typically two different teams from Friday to Saturday. One team manages the clerk outside and one team manages the clerk inside.

Timing System & Computer:  Always handled by YMCA and BPRD

Clean-up Bleachers & Pool area: YMCA typically handles this, but we can all help by checking the space we vacate and picking up any trash or items that have dropped.

Heat ribbons: Two teams help at all times, 3 volunteers per team. Each swimmer is given a ribbon for placement in their heat.

Place ribbons: Needed Saturday only to place all final medals and ribbons into team boxes, at least 4 volunteers from one team.

Announcing: One team assigned on Friday and another team assigned on Saturday.

Set -up: BPRD responsible for set-up

Head Timer (1) and Runner for Score table (1) : this is assigned to one team

Starter:  One team assigned on Friday and another team on Saturday

Timers: Each team is assigned a lane that they are responsible for, this means 2 timers for all of Friday and Saturday.

Stroke & Turn Judges: Teams are assigned and asked to have a certain number of judges for the entire meet (Friday & Saturday)
